Interview With NPC Bodybuilding Competitor Robert Burneika

 How are you Muscle-4Life-Nutrition.com readers! My name is Susan Wong Vice President of Marketing for Muscle 4 Life Nutrition LLC. I met this awesome bodybuilder in my own home town Las Vegas, actually in the gym I train at. I had to introduce him to all of you. I enjoyed talking to him, I am sure you will be amazed by Robert.
SW: Hello Robert, great to be interviewing you. Tell us a little about yourself and how you got started in bodybuilding? Robert: Hi I’m 31 years old, was born and raised in Lithuania came to the U.S in 1999,to Ct to be exact and moved to Las Vegas November 2008 with my wife. I’m a certified personal trainer. I got involved into bodybuilding at a young age. I started working out at age 14, entered my first contest when I was 19. I watched movies and was inspired by Arnold Schwarzenegger. I have power lifting and strongman background also.
SW: Great! Where do you reside and train at?  Robert: I live in Las Vegas and train at the many Gold Gym locations we have here. SW: I train at the same Gold Gym's Robert does and I can tell you first hand he is a great motivator for others. What is your competitive history? Robert: 2009-Atlantic States New York: 1 st place Super heavy weight 2009- NPC USA Bodybuilding Championships: 3rd place super heavy weight 2008 North American Bodybuilding Championships: 6th place super heavy weight 2008 NPC USA Bodybuilding Championships: 7th place super heavyweight 2006 Eastern USA Bodybuilding Championships; 1st place super heavy weight
 SW: That is an impressive record. Do you have a trainer or contest coach or do you do it on your own? Robert: I do everything on my own, however I never say no to advice from knowledgeable people. SW: What is your training philosophy? Robert: TRAIN HARD! SW: No doubt! Good philosophy to live by. What does your current training workout look like? Robert: Currently I’m working out 2 days on and 1 day off.Day 1: Back, Biceps Day 2: Quads, Calves Day 3: Rest Day 4: Chest Day 5: Hamstrings ,Calves Day 6: Rest Day 7: Shoulders, Triceps SW: Is this training routine something that our readers can use to build muscle and lose body fat or is this something that is more suited for an advanced athlete? Robert: My work out plan is for advanced athletes, it’s not recommended for beginners, but I make work out plans for everyone’s needs. SW: We will be sure to include your email in this interview for our readers. Could you share with us your philosophy on nutrition for the off season and contest prep? Robert: For the off season I use high calories, high protein and high carb diet. Pre contest I higher my good fats, higher protein and very low carbs. SW: What was the hardest thing you had to deal with when it came to your diet? Robert: Very low carb diet I have a lack of energy 
SW: Ha Ha I know your pain. How important are supplements in your bodybuilding program and which supplements do you use year round? Robert: Supplements are very important. I use glutamine , bcaa, omega 3 , multi vitamins, arginine, protein powder which you can find all of these supplements here at Muscle-4-life-Nutrition.com. SW: You are correct we do carry the finest bodybuilding supplements and offer the most knowledgeable fitness information. What supplements do you feel are essential when preparing for a bodybuilding competition?
Robert: Amino acids and glutamine. SW: What advice would you give to someone who has tried a number of weight loss programs with no success? Robert: Definitely they are doing something wrong. What would your advice be to our readers on how to gain muscle? Strength? Robert: To use right workout plan, supplements and nutrition. SW: Where and when is your next competition? Robert: I’m still debating on this. Either Nationals 2009 or USA 2010 in Las Vegas. SW: If you don’t mind sharing with us, what are you benching these days? Robert: 600 Lbs raw SW: WOW! That is amazing. Can you tell us about your family? Are you married? Do you have children? Robert: I’m married to my beautiful wife Katherine, she is a registered nurse. No children yet. SW: If you could thank one person for helping you reach your fitness goals, who would it be? Robert: My wife, who supports me. 
SW: I know exactly how you feel, my husband is my rock. Would you like to give a shout out to anyone? Robert: I would like to say thanks to all my good friends back in CT who supported me and my new friends here in Las Vegas, who are helping me and believing in me. SW: What are your big plans for the future? Robert: My big plan is to become a PRO Bodybuilder and do something for the sport to support it. Anything else you would like to add?
